Seek First The Kingdom of God no. 10

“Then I turned my attention to something else under the sun that is pointless: the situation in which a solitary individual without a companion, with neither son nor brother, keeps on working endlessly ‘but never has enough wealth. ‘For whom’ [he should ask], ‘am I working so hard and denying myself pleasure?’ This too is truly pointless, a sorry business” (Kohelet (Ecc) 4:7-8). A lot of us are so busy looking for wealth that we lose sight of what is important. When I first started this journey, I was looking to try and turn some money out of my change. BUT God had other plans. His plan was to turn me into something changed. I had already given up the idea of wealth as a solution to life’s problems. I had given up the systems of men as a means to solving life’s problems. The only thing left was His solution. And His solution has far surpassed what I was hoping to achieve.

Work is important. We were created to work this earth as its stewards. We are given gifts by Him by which to make this world a better place. “Now there are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit gives them. Also there are different ways of serving, but it is the same Lord being served. And there are different modes of working, but it is the same God working them all in everyone. Moreover, to each person is given the particular manifestation of the Spirit that will be for the common good” (1 Corinthians (1 Co) 12:4-7). I need to use my gifts in service of Him and my neighbor. When I first started this blog, I wasn’t looking to serve anyone more than myself. BUT through the continued work of the Spirit, I pray that my dedication to writing through this journey helps others as well as me. It makes little sense to love God in isolation. I need to love God with my neighbor. Together we strengthen one another. Together we encourage one another. Together we show His love. “Two are better than one, in that their cooperative efforts yield this advantage: if one of them falls, the other will help his partner up — woe to him who is alone when he falls and has no one to help him up. Again, if two people sleep together, they keep each other warm; but how can one person be warm by himself? Moreover, an attacker may defeat someone who is alone, but two can resist him; and a three-stranded cord is not easily broken” (Kohelet (Ecc) 4:9-12).

Seek first His Kingdom which rests on the foundation of love.

Grace and Shalom to your home. The Kingdom of God is now!

I got tired of looking for places to place blame and others to fix my problems. I hope you find some of what you're looking for here as well.
