Seek First The Kingdom Of God no. 1
“Love each other devotedly and with brotherly love; and set examples for each other in showing respect” (Romans (Rom) 12:10). Respect should mean recognizing that each person is a creation of God and carries His image. When we see the godliness and righteousness that is possible within each of us through the Spirit, a lot of our sinful and fleshly interactions will fall away. How do I get to that point? Well, that is simply through seeking the Kingdom of God.
I need to keep striving for His Kingdom which means making myself a better Ambassador of His Kingdom. Too often I forget about seeking His Kingdom and I look to support other kingdoms, principalities, and rulers. “For this very reason, try your hardest to furnish your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with perseverance, perseverance with godliness, godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if you have these qualities in abundance, they keep you from being barren and unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah” (2 Kefa (2 Pe) 1:5-8). My allegiance to His Kingdom is shown by my goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, goldiness, and brotherly affection in love. Love is the cornerstone of the greatest commandments to love God and love neighbor, “Always treat others as you would like them to treat you; that sums up the teaching of the Torah and the Prophets” (Mattityahu (Mat) 7:12). I should love myself enough to love others. And I can only show God’s love when I have it in my heart, “Hear, Isra’el! Adonai our God, Adonai is one; and you are to love Adonai your God with all your heart, all your being and all your resources” (D'varim (Deu) 6:4-5). And when I first love God, then His love will flow from me to others. Through His Spirit living within me I show, “. . . the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, self control. Nothing in the Torah stands against such things” (Galatians (Gal) 5:22-23).
Seek first His Kingdom which rests on the foundation of love.
Grace and Shalom to your home. The Kingdom of God is now!
I love you. I forgive you. Have a blessed and abundant day!
