Personal Meditation No. 80

"Start worrying about yourself. If you don't invest in your own life, then why would anyone else choose to invest in your life either."

Embrace the Within.

I am starting to grow tired of the mundane and reposting on social media. I am looking out over a feed of sameness and that makes me disappointed. Where did all our creativity go?

I am just going to focus on adding my creative input out here as long as I can. As I wake up every morning and think about what I’m going to tap out onto this keyboard, I get to process all the many thoughts and ideas that are swirling around in my head. I get to give all those new ideas a place to land and rest.

I am not going to just repost something political or religious or funny to get likes on this medium. I am still going to worry about the process of my life and working on getting those ideas together. It may not be the sexiest thing on the Interwebs but it is truthful, real, and important.

I am focused on what makes me go and what makes me keep moving forward. I am focused on understanding why I don’t understand the things I keep trying to understand. I am focused on figuring out the mysteries of balancing a life in the modern world and a life that reconnects to nature. I am focused on all the things that are making me a better husband, a better father, and a better person.

And I am going to take those things day by day. I am going to struggle with all those things through this medium in hopes that I get some more understanding by hitting these keys every weekday morning in order to get my thoughts in line. I hope you find a medium to express yourself as well. A place where you can also be creative in your own time. A place where you can work out your thoughts and feelings in a constructive way. I hope you find your reason for living and embrace it.

Have the day you want. I hope you find whatever you’re looking for.

I got tired of looking for places to place blame and others to fix my problems. I hope you find some of what you're looking for here as well.
