“It’s not all in your mind but if you don’t control your mind, then the rest doesn’t matter.”
Embrace the Within
It really is as simple or as complicated as you want to make your life. This brain of ours, this consciousness we’re walking around in a meat suit can make life so very complicated and crazy or it can make things simple. The problem is that the complicated is much more easier to achieve than the simple.
Distractions are the name of the game in life. So many things in this new age that can take away our focus. A myriad of entertainment options, news options, lifestyle options that can easily distract us from just living. And it really is just that simple. Just living.
I often forget the moment when I’m sitting in it and I am often caught up with thinking about past and future moments as well. But being present in the present is a place I want to choose more often. Plans are great but they can often get in the way of the present. And the present is most important.
So, let’s work on taking baby steps today to get there? Let’s focus on the present a lot more today than the past or the future? Let’s focus on making this one moment right now the best moment possible? And then keep recreating that one moment all day long?
