Personal Meditation No. 75

“If we want to get rid of the bad apples, then we need to build better barrels.”

Embrace the Within.

Folks enjoy barrels. I think a lot of folks actually love barrels. They can’t picture a world without the barrels we already have in place. They even want to fix the barrels. Patching the holes in the barrels isn’t going to change the barrel. It’s going to be the same old barrel.

If you don’t want the same thing then you have to start doing things differently. And barrels are comfortable and reliable. They were always there before. They give some of us a sense of security and safety. The barrels at least are reliable in being the same barrels.

Maybe you like the way things are going. Maybe you don’t want anything to change. IF that is you then stay with your barrels. Because those barrels will get you there.

But if you want something else, something different, something new, then maybe try building a new barrel. I am sure there are plenty of like-minded folks that will give you a hand in building your barrel.

The smaller the barrel, then the better it will be. When barrels get too large they get out of hand. No one can manage what gets in there and you lose consistency. Build those little barrels and enjoy the else, the different, the new.

I hope you find whatever you’re looking for. Have the day you want.

I got tired of looking for places to place blame and others to fix my problems. I hope you find some of what you're looking for here as well.
