Personal Meditation No. 69
“It may not be your fault but it is still your problem.”
Embrace the Within.
It certainly has been a while. It is nice to get back home and get back into the swing and routine of being home. I don’t know about you but I can only handle vacation for so long. I can only handle being away from my responsibilities for so long. I can only handle being away from my world for so long.
On vacation I get into bad habits. I start watching news and eating poorly. That is a definite problem that getting home fixes. Here I have access to fresh and locally-sourced foods and the television never has to go to a local channel. I get to make better choices since I am home.
I did get a chance to look around some other parts of America and see that things aren’t much different anywhere rurally. I got to see places with no indoor dining because they can’t find enough people to work. I saw a lot of unhealthy folks doing unhealthy things and looking like a mess. I saw a lot of problems.
My easy solution was just to come back home and leave those problems where they are. But I can’t ignore the problems. They’re in my neighborhood, in my community, in my county, in my region as well. And the problems aren’t going to solve themselves.
So, there is a lot that needs work. And I’m going to sit at this computer, work in my garden, tend to my livestock, embrace the within, as long as it takes to keep working on the problems. All I ask is that you work on fixing your problems as well.
I hope you find whatever you’re looking for. Have the day you want.
