Personal Meditation No. 66

“Your beliefs are your actions. What you say is just what you think.”

Embrace the Within.

It has been a rough and turbulent last two years and things don’t look like they’re getting calm or settled anytime soon. So, there are a couple of things that I’m working toward to navigate this world that makes very little rational sense anymore.

First, I am trying to be kind to strangers and their struggle. I don’t know everything that folks have faced over the past two years. I don’t know what their problems are. I don’t know how bad they are at coping with the situation. I don’t know their health status. So, the least I can do is be kind to them as long as they are tolerant. When the least you can be is kind, the worst choice is intolerance.

Additionally, I am still working on freeing myself. This still involves controlling my supply lines. The second half of the growing season is underway and the crops are planted. The rabbits are growing nicely. The chickens are a few months away from maturity. So, the growing and feeding cycle is somewhat under control. The march toward sustainability is slowly coming into being with the composter going as intended and leftover food being used to supplement both the chickens and rabbits as well.

Finally, I am working on my health. I don’t always make the best food choices but I am working on eating things I can identify as foods. I recently started mapping out my walking distances and will continue with working on a new trail in the fall that should wrap through the property down to the stream and the level ground that will make a great location for another garden area.

Keeping control of not eating too many sugars and chemicals while keeping a regular daily exercise routine will then help aid my mental health. I am also getting about ten minutes too much of daily news coverage. I am going to stick to the apps and internet for my weather to avoid this contamination as much as possible.

I am thankful to be in a situation where I can work on me and my goals. I hope that you spent some of the last two years thinking about your situation and how to make changes for the better. If you’re still working on getting through the worst, then remember that you have everything you need inside of you. Work on your health first. Without your health, you don’t have anything else.

I hope you find whatever you’re looking for. Have the day you want.

I got tired of looking for places to place blame and others to fix my problems. I hope you find some of what you're looking for here as well.
