Personal Meditation No. 65
“Your beliefs are your actions. What you say is just what you think.”
Embrace the Within.
How did yesterday go? What are you grateful for today? What are you going to do today? How is today going to be better?
I take the time every morning to analyze what I completed yesterday and review my notes for the day ahead. I’m usually doing this a few seconds before I start tap-tap-taparooing here on the blog. I am big on making lists and holding myself accountable for the actions on the list.
The list incorporates all the added responsibilities I have committed myself to achieving today outside of the already constructed routine. Taking care of the chickens and rabbits is a daily responsibility. Being a good parent and husband is a daily responsibility. Being a good member of my community is a daily responsibility. Being grateful and visualizing are a daily responsibility. Being healthy and free is a daily responsibility. So, these things are no longer on the list. But if those things are something I was trying to make a part of my routine or remember to practice, then they would end up on the list.
But since these actions are now internalized, I don’t have to remind myself to act. These actions are no longer just things I think but things I do. So, maybe you’re a list person and writing it down as a note for yourself would help. Maybe you’re more of an artistic person and would rather illustrate or sculpt those ideas. Maybe you just want to journal about your yesterday and set about what you’re going to do today. Whatever your choice, I feel it is a great way to hold yourself accountable for what you did and what you will do.
So, write about your day? Think about your day? Plan for better days? But, hopefully, write it down so you know what you decided?
I hope you find whatever you’re looking for. Have the day you want.
