Personal Meditation No. 48

"Folks will obsess over things they can't control and ignore the things they can control."

Embrace the Within.

It’s great to be back in control. This week was a struggle but here I am on a wrasslin weekend about ready to get busy with the work of the plantation and I already start with a winning mindset.

Today I’m going to work on onions, peppers, and tomatoes again. I like to get different varieties started every week to give a vast array of options and stages to watch and grow. And because I want to keep this gardening thing going year long. Mix up some lime pesticide to spray around the vegetation to keep the bugs at bay as well.

Of course I’ve always got to spend some time with the chickens and rabbits as well. My new hutch should arrive in the next couple of weeks so I can start sorting out the rabbits and giving them more space. The chickens are in need of attention as well since most of my day yesterday was occupied away from the plantation driving from store to store. It wasn’t a total bust since I did bring home some peppers and mushrooms for meals this week.

But, all in all, I am back into the normal routine again of getting up and doing. Controlling what I can change and being thankful for the opportunity to change. I’m setting the goals for here in order to impact my tomorrow. But I am more worried about my present than I am about the past.

Maybe today work on looking at what you can control today? Get those small victories that help build into larger triumphs?

I hope you find whatever you’re looking for. Have the day you want.

I got tired of looking for places to place blame and others to fix my problems. I hope you find some of what you're looking for here as well.
