Personal Meditation No. 37

“Everything you need is inside you.”

Embrace the Within.

There are a lot of people that don’t know their true strength. They fail to see the struggles, problems, and dangers they have faced as things that have not beaten them. In stead, they see these struggles, problems, and dangers as things that have defeated them.

Are you still here? Are you still growing? Are you still struggling? Then how can you be defeated? Think of everything these struggles, problems, and dangers have taught you.

I think the greatest disappointment for me about the past two years is the people that are rushing back to the way things were. And I don’t mean the masks and stores opening . . . I mean doing things the same way again. It’s almost like they learned nothing from being home.

I don’t know about you but I learned a lot. I learned a lot about me and my little world. I got to reconnect. I got to recharge. I got to struggle. I got to make changes. I got to live.

And all of that came from inside me. And everything you went through over that time helped make whatever was inside you stronger, smarter, and wiser. But only if you allow that process to occur.

It’s fortunate that things occur. What would be the fun of a mundane existence? We need a little conflict to create stories. And stories are the best capital in the world today. They aren’t backed by gold or silver but by our experience. And these stories are worth more than gold and silver, they are part of us.

So, whatever you need to write the stories, make the myths, become legendary . . . These things are inside you if you only look. And when I sit by you on the porch, in the basement, in the garden . . . It’s your stories I want to hear. What story are you writing?

I hope you find whatever you’re looking for. Have the day you want.

I got tired of looking for places to place blame and others to fix my problems. I hope you find some of what you're looking for here as well.
