Personal Meditation No. 34

“I am in awe at how many people are so fragile in their own identity. People that evaporate and/or fold like lawn chairs. It isn't the world for that kind of behavior unless you like a yoke.”

Embrace the Within.

It is the kind of the world for that, though. If you look around at all the regurgitated thought and the lack of content creators, it really is that lame of a world anymore. A generation of remakes and covers permeates what passes for culture. Original ideas are dangerous today. They might not be allowed.

But, that’s what fear does and I know you’re not afraid to go out there and think, make, and do. I know that you’re creating your own content, your own story, your own life. Because it’s all about having the courage to make the change. And once you find that courage, you’re not gonna bury it, hide it, or forget it. You’re going to shine in spite, despite, of whether it’s part of the allowed realm of discourse today.

So, don’t concern yourself with those that aren’t making the brave choices. Don’t concern yourself with people that need to blend in. Don’t concern yourself with others that are afraid to be free. Concern yourself with those striving for freedom as well. You are the average of the five people you spend the most time around, so choose those five wisely.

You’re not going to find what you need in sameness. You can find that in the ten percent that aren’t just reposting, remaking, and covering the same old tune.
