Personal Meditation No. 33

"Despite how bad most people are at living, the word isn't nearly as bad as you would assume. Most of us live rather well in spite of our own stupidity. The glory of the human existence."

Embrace the Within.

If you get inside of a vehicle and travel the roads of this country, then you’re probably as surprised as I am that there aren’t many fewer of us. Despite the poor decisions people make while driving, it is a rather safe action. Sure, people make some of the worst decisions with their mortality when strapped behind the steering wheel of a vehicle, but for some absurd reason, most trips tend to turn out with a safe result.

You just have to laugh at the glory of human existence. Grocery stores where over 80% of the products are designed to make you addicted, education systems that prepare people for servitude, advertisers that hit every influence button short-cut, a ruling class that gets folks riled up on divisive issues, an environment that is getting drastically worse for ourselves and our future, a war machine that uses love of country to sacrifice the self, consumers that care more about their recent purchase than their future . . . And all of these things and yet we all celebrate our freedom? Freedom from what?

What I find glorious is that despite all these horrible things, all these horrible people that there are still decent folks out there. That’s the true glory of human existence. That despite seeing the nastiness, the ugliness, the dumbness that some of you still wake up like me and try not to be part, not to join, not to succumb. And I adore you for that courage.

Life would be much easier if you and I simply picked a religion, picked a side, and forgot about freedom. But, some of us can’t. Some of us want freedom, need freedom. While some people talk about getting free and play games, some of us are getting free physically, mentally, and spiritually. And I am proud to see that glory. Despite everything ugly about humanity, I can still see the potential in the few. And a few is all that is necessary.

Only a few people are out in social media creating content. Most folks are just sharing the ideas of someone else. They’ve got their DOS script and set of parameters and just keep playing their role in the system. I am glad you’re creative, I am glad you’re thinking, I am glad you’re glorious.
