Personal Meditation No. 26
“I believe in the power of you even when you do not.”
Embrace the Within.
Monday was rough. Not physically difficult like I couldn’t do Monday. Monday was psychologically This week just isn’t it. But, in spite of not feeling it this week, I am going to reclaim my happiness.
I know that today is going to be the day that those feelings of blah from yesterday go away. I am thankful that I got through yesterday and that I can look forward to a better and happier today.
Some days are just like that. For no particular reason, yesterday was just psychologically difficult. But yesterday is in the past and today is in my future.
And today is going to be awesome. Today is going to be filled with everything yesterday was not. It has to be because that is what I want. That is what I believe. That is what I see.
Today one group of eighth graders will say goodbye to one part of their life and make another milestone true. In this school year that never ends, an end is in sight. Today and tomorrow will be filled with enthusiasm and promise. I will be surrounded by heroes embarking on another stage of their journey.
And the journey of the hero is one of my main loves. The journey is filled with so much anticipation and promise. Crossing the threshold and getting out where things are strange, where things are mysterious, where things are wonderful is important for growing and for change. And I get to not only teach that journey but witness it first hand as well.
We all get to take that journey and, some of us, several times get to cross the threshold and start a new adventure. We all have that power to go out into the wild and find our Ultimate Boon. We all have the power to make each day something new, something wonderful.
I hope you find whatever you’re looking for. Have the day you want.
