Personal Meditation No. 126

“It’s not all in your mind but if you don’t control your mind, then the rest doesn’t matter.”

Embrace the Within

It’s another one of those important days for some folks. They get to go out and impose their will on others at the ballot box. That so many folks still buy into the notion that voting gives you a say in how things go and that if you don’t vote you have no right to complain, only proves that the government education and indoctrination machine is running according to plan.

It’s a nice distraction. It’s entertaining to watch. It’s a good activity for getting you to line up outside and get some Vitamin D. BUT voting is activity masquerading as accomplishment. They even give you a little sticker at the end that you’ll flaunt like I did in the past like a badge of honor.

Knowing anything about power and control will quickly strip you of the illusion that voting changes anything. Any of the politicians from any party take money from all sorts of interests to make sure that the system works for them and not for you. Unless you’re cutting checks or have some sort of large cult following, then I don’t see your vote changing anything.

What does change things? Taking control of your life. Ultimately, whatever the folks in Richmond, Annapolis, Charleston, Harrisburg, Washington, etc. decide means very little if you’re going to win. When you radically change your mindset to not worry about the next law or regulation, when you change your mindset to focus on controlling your life, when you change your mindset to one of abundance, when you change your mindset to empowering yourself, then you will realize that the true power over your life is internal and eternal.

Power is not temporal and external. That’s typically violence and coercion. True power doesn’t come from elections and governments. True power is having the control over your life. True power is being able to do what you want when you want for as long as you want.

And that power is inside of you. By living an abundant life, you get to make the rules for how your day is going to be in spite and despite what external factors exist.

If you’re ready to get free, if you’re ready to live a life of abundance, if you’re ready to embrace your ready to take control back, then you can make yourself great again. You can embrace that inner warlord and take back what is yours. Your body, your mind, your life are waiting for you to get back in charge. Are you going to take that control back?
