“Your beliefs are your actions. What you say is just what you think.”
Embrace the Within.
Living your beliefs attracts the people that believe the same as you. It never ceases to amaze me at the wonderful people I have met throughout my life. So many people that have taught me so much along the way. A lot of it starts with my own parents and my family as I was younger to some truly remarkable teachers to friends I have met and friends that I have rediscovered as I have grown older. It’s difficult to think of a time better than right now for the depth and spectrum of friends I have. Friends that live their beliefs.
I have met anarchists and statists that are out there living their best lives. Doing what makes them free and letting others remain free as well. They believe strongly in their beliefs but not so strongly that they need everyone else to believe the same. Some of my best conversations over the social media airwaves have started as differences of opinion that have led to two folks being understanding and listening. Conversations that led to a mutual respect for believing. I have had a few conversations that started as differences of opinion and continued to worse places BUT I tend to regard those as challenges. Amor fati.
You have to love the strangeness of life. There are so many folks to learn things from in order to grow along your path. So many things to learn about life and yourself out there. So many opportunities for growth. So many chances to change and become better today than you were yesterday.
BUT there are so many diversions to get folks side tracked. Technology is great for getting things done faster, learning things faster, and getting supplies faster BUT it can also pull you into its many distractions and diversions. Just like any media, social media has an agenda as well. If you don’t pay for it, then you are the product.
So, enjoy what technology gives us the opportunity to learn. Here I am closing in on fifty and I am still learning something new every single day of my life. I hope you are learning something new as well. I hope you are taking advantage of what technology can do to bring us together, help us grow, and make change. It is a far more compelling future to embrace than the narrative of doom and gloom some like to embrace.
Have the day you want. I hope you find whatever you’re looking for.
