Personal Meditation No. 113

Embrace the Within.

This world is entrenched in unhealthiness. The majority of foods available for consumption are poisons. The foods are not created to sustain your health. The foods are created to hook you on their consumption. Foods aren’t based on easily identifiable plants and animals. Foods are based on fructose and carbohydrates and chemical agents to get your body craving them, needing them, getting your fix and consuming constantly. Waking up to consume sugar and caffeine and needing that fix to animate your corpse throughout the day. Folks are much less human are more zombie, craving their intake of poison to keep them going, keep them productive, keep them consuming.

I avoid eating outside of my home as much as I can. When I shop, I get what I can from local produce and shop the periphery of grocery stores . . . produce section, meats, and frozen vegetables. Going down the aisles is a journey into reading ingredients that makes me nauseated. On shopping trips with the family I often get asked “can we eat this” and my answer is “Sure. But you shouldn’t.” The bulk of what is out there is a processed disaster that is processing you right toward problems.

BUT, have no fears. The medical industry is partnered with the pharmaceutical industry to have just the pill to fix the chemical reactions from all those other chemicals. A doctor will pay lip service to changing your diet but most of them really do not understand what that means and, rightfully, don’t expect you to change anything. That’s when the prescription pad comes out with the easy fix. Take these pills in varying amounts in varying orders at varying times to fix the chemical reaction. Don’t get off the chemicals. Just add new chemicals to your chemistry set zombie fixing itself through the day on just the right cocktail of drugs. Why even consider that the chemicals might be the problem and not the solution?

I don’t know. My goal is to get off drugs. To not need a cocktail to get me through life. To not need to dose up to tolerate existence. To not need to shut off my brain to function in society. And it isn’t for everyone. I don’t get invited to hang out. I don’t have fancy friends that eat fancy things at fancy places. I don’t get local celebrity status from hanging with bureaucrats and politicians. I don’t get out much to be honest. I do get a lot of work done at home.

And I am definitely not hating my life. I don’t have to turn to a chemical cocktail to get me up in the morning, to get me going through the day, or to put me to sleep at night. But I do have to urinate a lot. I think that’s my only downside right now. The burden of being hydrated. Not the phoniness of fanciness, that I have always been able to do without. I’d rather have my hands and feet covered in dirt.
