Personal Meditation No. 111
“There is always enough time.”
Embrace the Within.
We always find the time for whatever we value, whatever we find important, whatever we want. This idea that there is never enough time in a day, in a week, in a year, in a life is just an excuse. There is always enough time to do drugs, there is always enough time to gamble, there is always enough time to be unhealthy, AND there is always enough time to be healthy. We just like to use the finiteness of humane existence to give us an excuse.
There will always be enough time for whatever you value. The difficult part is coming to terms with what our lives say about what we value. I didn’t value myself very much for the longest time. I treated my body and my life as something that was already on borrowed time. I didn’t concern myself with the quality of the life I was living or even the quantity of the life I was living. I was a mess. And spending fourteen days with who I was led me to make some distinct and measured changes to my trajectory. Those fourteen days let everything become clear about the mistakes I was making and the direction I needed to focus on to get myself free.
The path to freedom was a lot of work and it took a lot of time. BUT it never took more time than I had. There always seems to be as much time in the day to get done now what needs to get done. Just like there was always enough time in the past to get done the unhealthy things. There is just enough time now to do the healthy things as well. It’s quite amazing.
So the excuse of limited time can be a great tool to prevent us from changing or a motivating force for change. We are only here on this earth for a limited time. So how are you going to use that brief span of time? No matter your choice. You will always have enough time to live that life.
Have the day you want. I hope you find whatever you’re looking for.
