Embrace the Within no. 85
"We persevere through faith and never apart from it."
Sinclair Ferguson
We need to listen a lot more than we talk and that is even more important in our walk with the Lord. Too often we are dictating the terms of our relationship with God when He alone is in charge. He created the path to salvation. He wrote the Covenant on our hearts. He rescued us from our own bad choices. And often we hear and forget to act. And that is all too important in following. We need to not only hear BUT truly listen with all of our mind, body, and soul.
“If any of you lacke wisedome, let him aske of God, which giueth to all men liberally, and reprocheth no man, and it shalbe giuen him. But let him aske in faith, and wauer not: for hee that wauereth, is like a waue of the sea, tost of the winde, and caried away. Neither let that man thinke that hee shall receiue any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is vnstable in all his waies.” (James 1:5-8 GNV)
This week I am still praying for wisdom. I am praying for the wisdom to SHEMA when YHWH speaks. I am praying for wisdom to know where the Lord is leading me. I am praying for wisdom to walk where He leads. I am praying for wisdom to walk in the Way of the Lord rather than in my way. I am praying for wisdom of His Truth and not my truth.
I am also still praying for revival. I am praying for a revival in my community. I am praying that the Way of the Lord is revealed to all and that they choose to follow in His path. I am praying for all the churches in my community and the congregations to be better ambassadors for the Kingdom of God. I am praying that I am a better ambassador this week than I was last week.
I need to love more and listen more this week. I am going to work on loving my God, my neighbor, and my enemies more this week. I am going to work on ed stuff and allow God to work on His stuff. I pray that we do not waiver in our wisdom from God this week. Let Him lead as we listen and act in His love.
Shavua tov. Shalom to your home. Bless your being. The reign of YHWH is now. Be a blessing to YHWH and others.
