Embrace the Within no. 73
"Every day may be a day of blessing, every hour an hour of victory, but if lived in the thought that Jehovah in his might is your shepherd."
J. Wilber Chapman
I spend a lot of time worrying about the hearts of others when I really should be worrying about my own heart. And that isn’t out of thinking that I am somehow better than anyone else. Most of that comes from the right place of wanting to help others find salvation and redemption. And none of that is my job. That job is already filled and there is no need to submit an application.
I miss a lot of the time how truly and entirely my life is a matter of God’s grace. Everything that happens during the day is only a product of God’s grace. My existence and the existence of the world is a product of God’s grace. I need to remember that God has His job under control. I need to get my job under control.
And that starts with worrying more about my heart than working on doing something for my neighbors’ hearts. God has that under control. I have definitely stopped trying to correct folks on their doctrine. That is something between them and God. I am now focusing on walking the Way of the Lord in the way He calls me to walk rather than the way I want to walk. YHWH and not my way.
I want to live the life God intends and trust that everything will work out. That is my prayer of humility today. That I can rely on God to do His major part in all this and I work my small role of control.
Shavua tov. Shalom to your home. Bless your being. The reign of YHWH is now. Be a blessing to YHWH and others.
