Embrace the Within no. 1

“Your beliefs are your actions. What you say is just what you think.”

Embrace the Within.

It is rather easy to say you believe something. People do it all the time. Folks adopt beliefs to fit into any number of life situations. Folks are malleable and want to go along with the pack. It’s part of our collective programming that we needed in order to survive when other animals were more dangerous to our own lives than other humans. And now we use herd or pack mindset to protect ourselves not from other animals but from other humans.

It’s rather easy to say you believe something. It is much easier to talk about getting healthy than actually getting healthy. Doing something constructive takes energy of mind and body. You have a plan and then put that plan into action. And you commit to the plan over a repeated span of time and that plan becomes a routine and a commitment. That is a lot of work. It’s a lot easier to just do something once or pretend to do something than it is to make that sort of commitment.

It’s rather easy to say you believe something. We put our time and money and energy into the things we care about. If we want to make time for someone or something, we will. People support what they love. I am a huge wrasslin fan in my spare time and I dedicate a lot of time and money and energy to that hobby. I am extremely passionate about shortening my supply chain and eating healthier. So I spend a lot of time and money and energy on my plantation practices. I am extremely interested in learning about God and living a life in spiritual alignment with Truth. So I spend a lot of time reading The Bible and working on gaining more understanding for myself and others.

It’s rather easy to say believe in something BUT your beliefs are your actions. And my actions show what I truly believe. Where I spend my time, my money, and my energy dictate my character. If I wasn’t interested in any of those pursuits, then I would be doing other things. I would be putting my time and money and energy into other pursuits. Maybe I’d post a witty little biblical quotation here and there or show up to church to make an appearance when it’s convenient or water my plants once in a while or feed my rabbits when I felt like it and then . . . . You know what happens? Things die. Plants, animals, relationships, will just wither up and decay and pass away if I don’t put the time and money and energy into them.

Where are you spending your time? Where are you spending your money? Where are you spending your energy? What do you really care about? We support what we love.

Peace to your home. Bless your being. The reign of God is now. Have the day you want. I hope you find whatever you’re looking for.
