“It’s not all in your mind but if you don’t control your mind, then the rest doesn’t matter.”

Embrace the Within

There are a lot of delusions out there and inside us that aren’t doing us any good. I suffered from those delusions just as you have. Maybe you’re still under a lot of those delusions. There is a lot to unpack and unlearn after decades of living on this planet.

The one illusion or delusion that no longer afflicts me is the delusion that anything I am doing is going to impact anyone else other than me. I don’t get up and type this blog in order to change anyone. I don’t think that this blog is going to gain me popularity and fame. I type every morning because I am committed to writing down my thoughts and putting them into a meaningful form for me. This helps me work out where I am and where I am going.

If this tap-tap-tap-a-rooing is beneficial to you as well, then that is a bonus and I thank you for following along. BUT I am not here to change anyone. I am glad and feel genuine pride in others going through and working through their own journey. The Road of Trials is not easy and getting to that Ultimate Boon takes a long time. I surely know I am not there yet. I can see it on the horizon and there is a lot of work to do to get there.

Slaying those illusions and delusions is one of the things that I will have to conquer in order to get to that Boon. So, maybe I am getting ahead of myself in sharing the journey before it is completed, however, I don’t think the journey is ever fully complete. I think we undertake several Hero’s journeys in our lives if we’re lucky. Each adding another Boon to our list that we can return with and share to our neighbors, our community.

Getting there is not a rush. There is no hurry in getting to the Boon. It is the journey that makes us ready to receive that Boon. Without the journey, the knowledge isn’t learned. So if you’re on the Road of Trials today and you feel like things are just too difficult. If you feel like the change is not worth the pain, if you feel like just giving up, know that the Boon is worth it. The gains are worth it. The journey is worth the destination. I can testify to that for you. It may suck for awhile. You may have to just embrace that suck for a little bit longer BUT you will break through to the other side. You can do it because I could do it and I was no different than you on that road.

Have the day you want. I hope you find whatever you’re looking for.

“Your beliefs are your actions. What you say is just what you think.”

Embrace the Within

I spent yesterday beginning with how most of us aren’t ready for change and slowly turned that narrative into my story for change. I ended with some encouragement that if you’re thinking about change, then you can become the hero of your own story. I think a lot of that change in both my life and your life comes from asking the difficult questions about life and answering those questions with truth and honesty. It’s getting to the core of what we really want out of life and how we see the world around us.

I think most of the time people have a really narrow view of life. To most it is like everything is disconnected and happenstance. BUT I see connections everywhere now. I started seeing those connections as a physics student in college. I could see the connections between matter and energy and vibrations and harmonics and vision and perception and how those areas somehow all connected. As I started my journey to a better life lived more abundantly and more free, I am seeing the connections between what I know, what I teach, and what I do connect on so many different levels. My message of personal responsibility permeates everything I do. This is primarily because it isn’t just me talking about taking responsibility, it is me living that example.

I think when I talked about doing things and talked about problems, I had only a cursory knowledge of what was happening. BUT now that I am actively participating in my life and striving to take control, I see the connections between personal responsibility, sustainable living, self ownership, the hero’s journey, going native, embracing tribe, and following your bliss. Almost two years ago when I started planting seeds and trying to figure out how I was going to eat if the stores kept running low on food, I started on a path that makes me prepared for today when all I hear is about supply chains breaking down. Two years ago, I was worried. Today, I am in a better place. And the greatest thing about that progress is that it is never going to go backward. The knowledge I have piled up over the past twenty months will serve me if I have to pack up and do this somewhere else. The knowledge and skills aren’t going anywhere even if I might.

And if there was one thing I could really have you focus on about your change that I have found true about my change is that just increasing what you know and what you can do is vitally important. The more skills and knowledge you have in this world about things that can really and truly make you independent are crucial. Having the skills to not be concerned about whatever news comes out about whatever new fear is being marketed is where true freedom and liberation come from for me. I don’t know what makes you feel free. That is what makes me feel free. The idea that no matter what the world throws my way, no matter what challenges may face me every morning, no matter what obstacles appear on the road of trials, I will find a way to win. That makes all the difference to me.

I hope you find your small victories or major wins today. Work on that path to living the life you want because you weren’t created to suck. You weren’t created to live a less than life. You were created for so much more.

Have the day you want. I hope you find whatever you’re looking for.
