Personal Meditation No. 13

“I am surprised at how easy it is to start a path.”

Embrace the Within.

As I talk about on here a lot, about six years ago my move into this lifestyle really began. I got my first chickens then and started to see the benefits of controlling a food source. When you flash back to all the improvements I made during the lockdowns a year ago, my operation is leaps and bounds above what I once started.

The one thing that has started to catch my attention over the past few weeks are the paths cut in my yard from the routine I walk several times a day. I have walked these same paths over the years and they have worn into the earth.

These are the physical ruts from the routine I have adopted. These paths show where I have traveled repeatedly in the past. These paths show what I am accustomed to doing. These paths show a dedication to a single destination.

We need to be mindful of the paths we are following. Not just the physical paths but the spiritual paths. Sometimes we need to change from those well-traveled paths and blaze our own. Because you can get stuck in ruts just as easily as you can follow them.

Think about your paths today? Consider how your life is going? Is it time to get out of your well-worn rut? Do you deserve a change to something better?

It’s surprisingly easy to start a path. Embrace a new path today?

I hope you find whatever you are looking for. Have the day you want.

I got tired of looking for places to place blame and others to fix my problems. I hope you find some of what you're looking for here as well.
