Embrace the Within no. 118

“Blessed [anticipating God’s presence, spiritually mature] are the pure in heart [those with integrity, moral courage, and godly character], for they will see God.

Matthew 5:8 AMP

I should live in the presence of God and that means a lot of responsibility for living obediently to His Word. I need to talk with Him daily through prayer. I need to study what He wants from me by reading His Word, meditating on His Words, and having conversations with Him and others about His Words. Taking those commands and living obediently to them with integrity and courage will help show the character of God’s love through the example of His son, Jesus Christ, in my life. Through these actions of an obedient life, others will see God in the example I live. “What bliss you experience when your heart is pure [Or “when your heart is full of innocence.” See Pss. 15:1–2; 24:4; 51:10]! For then your eyes will open to see more and more of God [The Aramaic word used for “see” is nahzon and can be translated either in the present tense (“They see God”) or the future tense (“They will see God”). The Greek is “They will progressively see God.” See also Ps. 17:15].

Matthew 5:8 TPT

The only way to achieve purity in heart is obedience to God. Often I hear God talk about the childlike obedience I need to follow Him. After years of walking on this earth, it is difficult to cast away all the things that made my heart no longer innocent. I may have forgiveness from God through Christ, however, there are things I have done that touch my heart and return to my mind. Those things attempt to rob me of seeing more of God. I need to be more childlike in not only my understanding of God but also in my approach to seeing Him more. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

Matthew 5:8 GNV

When I obediently follow God, I get to understand more and more of what He wants for me to accomplish this side of eternity. I can’t grow spiritually and mature as a Christian when I still struggle with obedience. If I am still fighting with God to do things my way and not His Way, then I struggle to move forward in my walk. Loving God is obeying God and His Commandments. Obeying God allows me to show His presence to others in my walk. “Blessed (Favored by God; happy; prosperous) are the pure of heart, for they shall see Elohim (The Many Powered) [The Living Word of God]”.

Matthew 5:8 NMV

There exists a happiness in simply living in alignment with God’s Word. The purity of my heart is what God wants. He wants me to live His Truth rather than seeking my own. '“How blessed are the pure in heart! for they will see God.'

Mattityahu (Mat) 5:8 CJB

And if I can live with a heart aligned obedient and aligned to what God wants me to do. I will see God in my life and others will see Him as well.

I love you. I forgive you. Have a blessed and abundant day!
