“And take the helmet of deliverance; along with the sword given by the Spirit, that is, the Word of God; as you pray at all times, with all kinds of prayers and requests, in the Spirit, vigilantly and persistently, for all God’s people” (Ephesians (Eph) 6:17-18). Choosing to put on the whole armor of God requires our action just as much as prayer requires our action. When I choose to prepare myself for the troubles in this world, I put on His truth, righteousness, shalom, trust, deliverance, and Word. Additionally, I need to pray at all times, vigilantly and persistently for all God’s people.
Praying with someone can change your whole mindset about that person. Entering into communion with God together in prayer can really work on your heart. Praying about someone can change your whole mindset about that person. Entering into communion with God in prayer on behalf of someone can really work on your heart. I think if we prayed a lot more, then we would have a lot more change. I cannot emphasize the importance of prayer enough.
When I first got back into doing church, the first activity I began attending was a prayer group. Even when I was doing church with other people at an arm's length, I knew that I needed to be involved in prayer. And that group has helped me so much with easing into doing church on a larger scale. And I am thankful that God led me to a prayer group before I was led anywhere else.
So, of course put on the full armor of God BUT don’t forget that all that armor is spiritual. And the most important act of spiritual warfare is talking to God. And it’s important to talk to Him on behalf of other people as well.
Grace and Shalom to your home. The Kingdom of God is now!
I love you. I forgive you. Have a blessed and abundant day!
