“How blessed are those who show mercy!
for they will be shown mercy.
How blessed are the pure in heart!
for they will see God.
How blessed are those who make peace!
for they will be called sons of God” (Mattityahu (Mat) 5:7-10).
I do not stand with Israel. I do not stand with Palestine. I do not stand with Ukraine. I do not stand with Russia. I do not stand with the United States. I stand with Jesus.
I stand for peace because Jesus told me to stand for peace. He told me that “You have heard that our fathers were told, ‘Do not murder,’ and that anyone who commits murder will be subject to judgment. But I tell you that anyone who nurses anger against his brother will be subject to judgment; that whoever calls his brother, ‘You good-for-nothing!’ will be brought before the Sanhedrin ; that whoever says, ‘Fool!’ incurs the penalty of burning in the fire of Gei-Hinnom” (Mattityahu (Mat) 5:21-22)! So I shouldn’t be angry because that is the heart of murder. He also told me, “You have heard that our fathers were told, ‘Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you not to stand up against someone who does you wrong. On the contrary, if someone hits you on the right cheek, let him hit you on the left cheek too! If someone wants to sue you for your shirt, let him have your coat as well! And if a soldier forces you to carry his pack for one mile, carry it for two! When someone asks you for something, give it to him; when someone wants to borrow something from you, lend it to him” (Mattityahu (Mat) 5:38-42). So, I should love and forgive my enemies and not repay hate for hate, vengeance for vengeance, murder for murder. That isn’t what He asks of me.
And I know this whole Israel thing gets confusing for some of us. And the propagandists know that and take advantage of that confusion. And I do not have the time to go into how church folks are propagandized into supporting unChristian things BUT feel at liberty to message me if you really want to learn more or just yell at me for not standing with Israel. BUT I urge you to stand with Jesus. I urge you to stop having your religion weaponized and rely on Jesus to show you His Way.
Jesus also urges us in this section that, “You are light for the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Likewise, when people light a lamp, they don’t cover it with a bowl but put it on a lampstand, so that it shines for everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before people, so that they may see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven” (Mattityahu (Mat) 5:14-16). And I take that seriously as I hope you will take that seriously. Being The Light isn’t getting caught up in the world of the Goyim and their interests BUT instead being foundationally sound in Him. Having a solid foundation in His light drives out darkness. It’s called being based for a reason. That reason is because you have a solid foundation and, “So, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on bedrock. The rain fell, the rivers flooded, the winds blew and beat against that house, but it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not act on them will be like a stupid man who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the rivers flooded, the wind blew and beat against that house, and it collapsed — and its collapse was horrendous” (Mattityahu (Mat) 7:24-27)! And some of your temples need better foundations. I pray you find that foundation in His Word and His Light. And I pray you love and forgive and show grace and mercy in the Word and Light of Jesus. Stand firm on His foundation. Stand firm as an Ambassador of His Kingdom of Light.
Seek first His Kingdom which rests on the foundation of love.
Grace and Shalom to your home. The Kingdom of God is now!
I love you. I forgive you. Have a blessed and abundant day!
