“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.” ― Frank Herbert, Dune
Courage is choosing to change.
I really thought more of humanity. I know we haven’t evolved much since wandering the savanna but I really hoped for more. Some change.
But, fear is still the main governing force rather than hope around me. As social creatures we fear rebuke and removal from society. As egotistical creatures we fear being wrong and mocked. As self important creatures we fear not being the center of the universe.
We have a lot of fears to face to find ourselves. But, you can choose to get past those fears. You can choose to be truly free of those fears. You can choose to be free.
It’s your body, your mind, your choice.
Will you let the mind-killer be your master? Or will you be your own master?
